Developed Media Relations to Promote Cause
MRC volunteers provide free flu shots.
As a trained Communications Specialist for the Greater Fall River Medical Reserve Corps, I generated media coverage during a press conference held at the Fall River Government Center.
Media Coverage
I demonstrated leadership by collaborating with first responders and volunteers. I assisted in crisis preparation and generated publicity in print with several publications. I wrote a news release which was published in the Somerset Spectator. The exposure also generated an article in the Healthy City Newsletter.

- built positive relationships with media and key stakeholders
- gained support for nationally recognized organization
- harnessed modern technology to send key messages
- dealt with issue proactively to avoid a health crisis
